Privacy Policy

Thank you for your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about the handling of your data.

1. Storage of access data in server log files

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is evaluated exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our offer. It does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person.

1.1 Hosting

The services for hosting and displaying the website are partly provided by our service providers as part of processing on our behalf. This website uses the service Vercel. The provider is Vercel Inc, 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel is a cloud platform through which we provide our website. Unless otherwise explained in this Privacy Policy, all access data as well as all data collected in forms provided for this purpose on this website are processed on their servers. If you have any questions about our service providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact option described in this privacy policy.

1.2 Content Delivery Network

For the purpose of a shorter loading time, we use a so-called Content Delivery Network ("CDN") for some offers. With this service, content, e.g. large media files, are delivered via regionally distributed servers of external CDN service providers. Therefore, access data is processed on the servers of the service providers. Our service providers work for us within the framework of order processing. If you have any questions about our service providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact option described in this privacy policy.

2. Data processing for contract and order processing, contacting and when opening a customer account.

We collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order or when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail). Mandatory fields are marked as such, because in these cases we need the data to process the contract, or to process your contact and you cannot send the order or contact without their information. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process the contract and handle your inquiries in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S.1 lit. b DSGVO.

Insofar as you have given your consent to this in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S.1 lit. a DSGVO by deciding to open a customer account, we will use your data for the purpose of opening a customer account. Further information on the processing of your data, in particular the transfer to our service providers for the purpose of order, payment and shipping processing, can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. c DSGVO, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement. The deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described in this privacy policy or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.

3. Data processing for the purpose of shipment processing

For the fulfillment of the contract in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO, we pass on your data to the shipping service provider commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods.

4. Data processing for payment processing

When processing payments in our online store, we work with these partners: technical service providers, credit institutions, payment service providers.

4.1 Data processing for transaction processing

Depending on the selected payment method, we pass on the data necessary for processing the payment transaction to our technical service providers, who work for us within the framework of order processing, or to the commissioned credit institutions or to the selected payment service provider, insofar as this is necessary for processing the payment. This serves the fulfillment of the contract according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO. In some cases, the payment service providers collect the data required for processing the payment themselves, e.g. on their own website or via a technical integration in the ordering process. In this respect, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies. If you have any questions about our payment processing partners and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact option described in this privacy policy.

4.2 Data processing for the purpose of fraud prevention and optimization of our payment processes.

Where applicable, we provide our service providers with additional data, which they use together with the data necessary for the processing of the payment as our processors for the purpose of fraud prevention and optimization of our payment processes (e.g. invoicing, processing of contested payments, accounting support). Pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO, this serves to protect our legitimate interests in our protection against fraud or in efficient payment management, which outweigh our interests in the context of a balancing of interests.

5. Advertising by e-mail

5.1 E-mail newsletter with registration

If you register for our newsletter, we will use the data required for this purpose or separately provided by you to send you our e-mail newsletter on a regular basis based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described in this privacy policy or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.

After unsubscribing, we will delete your email address from the list of recipients, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.

5.2 Newsletter dispatch by SendInBlue

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website we require an e-mail address from you and, if necessary, information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter application form or registration form is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

This website uses SendinBlue to send newsletters. The provider is SendinBlue GmbH Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. SendinBlue is a service with which the newsletter dispatch can be organized and analyzed. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving newsletters (e.g. e-mail address) is stored on SendinBlue's servers.

Our newsletters sent with SendinBlue allow us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. Among other things, we can analyze how many recipients have opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked. All links in the email are so-called tracking links, with which your clicks can be counted.

If you do not want any analysis by SendinBlue, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. Furthermore, you can also revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an e-mail to the address given in our imprint.

The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of SendinBlue after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses or addresses for the shipment of your ordered goods) remain unaffected by this.

For more details, please refer to SendinBlue's privacy policy at: https://de.sendinblue.com/legal/privacypolicy/.

Conclusion of a contract for order processing

We have concluded a contract with SendinBlue in which we oblige SendinBlue to protect our customers' data and not to pass it on to third parties.

5.3 Sending rating requests by e-mail

If you have given us your express consent to this during or after your order in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO, we will use your e-mail address for the request to submit a rating of your order via the rating system used by us. This consent can be revoked at any time by sending a message to the contact option described in this privacy policy or via a link provided for this purpose in the rating request.

The evaluation requests may also be sent by our service providers as part of processing on our behalf. If you have any questions about our service providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please contact us at the contact option described in this Privacy Policy.

The information automatically collected by Google technologies about your use of our website is usually transmitted to a server of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA and stored there. For the USA, there is no adequacy decision of the European Commission. Our cooperation is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. If your IP address is collected via Google technologies, it will be shortened before being stored on Google's servers by activating IP anonymization. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server and shortened there. Unless otherwise specified for the individual technologies, the data processing is based on an agreement concluded for the respective technology between jointly responsible parties in accordance with Art. 26 DSGVO. Further information on data processing by Google can be found in Google's privacy policy [https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de].

Google Analytics

For the purpose of website analysis, Google Analytics automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about your use of our website), from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms. Cookies may be used for this purpose. As a matter of principle, your IP address will not be merged with other data from Google. Data processing is carried out on the basis of an order processing agreement by Google.

7.2 Use of MyFonts and MyFonts Counter

MyFonts

For the uniform presentation of content on our website, data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information) is collected by the script code "MyFonts", transmitted to MyFonts and subsequently processed by MyFonts. We have no influence on this subsequent data processing.

MyFonts Counter

On this website, we use MyFonts Counter, a web analytics service provided by MyFonts Inc, 500 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801, USA, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) f DSGVO. Based on the license terms, page view tracking is performed by counting the number of visits to the website for statistical purposes and transmitting them to MyFonts. MyFonts only collects anonymized data. If necessary, the data is passed on by activating Java Script code in your browser. To prevent the execution of Java Script code from MyFonts altogether, you can install a Java Script blocker (e.g. www.noscript.net). For more information about MyFonts Counter, please see MyFonts' privacy policy at https://www.myfonts.com/legal/website-use-privacy-policy.

7.3 Use of Facebook services

Use of Facebook Pixel

We use the Facebook Pixel as part of the technologies of Facebook Ireland Ltd [https://de-de.facebook.com/facebookdublin/]., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook") outlined below. The Facebook Pixel automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about your use of our website based on events specified by us, such as visiting a website or subscribing to a newsletter), from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms. In addition, as part of the so-called extended data matching, information is collected and stored hashed for matching purposes, with which individuals can be identified (e.g. names, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers). For this purpose, when you visit our website, a cookie is automatically set by the Facebook Pixel, which automatically enables recognition of your browser when you visit other websites by means of a pseudonymous CookieID. Facebook will combine this information with other data from your Facebook account and use it to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website use, in particular personalized and group-based advertising.

The information automatically collected by Facebook technologies about your use of our website is generally transmitted to a server of Facebook, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA and stored there. There is no adequacy decision of the European Commission for the USA. Insofar as the transfer of data to the USA falls within our responsibility, our cooperation is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. Further information about data processing by Facebook can be found in Facebook's privacy policy [https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php].

Facebook Analytics

As part of Facebook Analytics, statistics on visitor activity on our website are created from the data collected with the Facebook Pixel about your use of our website. Data processing is carried out on the basis of an order processing agreement by Facebook. Their analysis is used for the optimal presentation and marketing of our website.

Facebook Ads

Through Facebook Ads, we advertise this website on Facebook as well as on other platforms. We determine the parameters of the respective advertising campaign. Facebook is responsible for the exact implementation, in particular the decision on the placement of the ads with individual users. Unless otherwise specified for the individual technologies, the data processing is based on an agreement between joint controllers pursuant to Art. 26 DSGVO. The joint responsibility is limited to the collection of the data and its transmission to Facebook Ireland. The subsequent data processing by Facebook Ireland is not covered by this.

Based on the statistics on visitor activity on our website generated via Facebook Pixel, we operate group-based advertising on Facebook via Facebook Custom Audience by determining the characteristics of the respective target group. Within the scope of the extended data matching that takes place to determine the respective target group (see above), Facebook acts as our processor.

Based on the pseudonymous cookie ID set by the Facebook Pixel and the data collected about your usage behavior on our website, we conduct personalized advertising via Facebook Pixel remarketing.

Via Facebook Pixel Conversions, we measure for web analytics and event tracking your subsequent usage behavior when you have reached our website via an ad from Facebook Ads. The data processing takes place on the basis of an order processing agreement by Facebook.

The data processing is based on our legitimate interests (Art.6 para.1 lit. f DSGVO) in the technically error-free and optimized provision of our services. In the Atlas database, no further personal data of the users is stored except for the pseudonymized ID.

For more information on data processing by MongoDB, please refer to the privacy policy of MongoDB. We have concluded a so-called "Data Processing Agreement" with MongoDB, in which we oblige MongoDB to protect the data of our customers, not to pass them on to third parties and to comply with the regulations of the standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 DSGVO in the event of a transfer of personal data via sub-processors or affiliated companies to the USA.
